A Vision Quest for Men and Women
|
For generations we all lived with our feet deeply rooted in the natural world. Our lives were lived outside as much as any beast of the field. There was always earth under our fingernails or the smell of the sea in our hair. These were signs of our balance within the elements. Now alas, most of us are outwardly clean and have removed ourselves to our office retreats. We have shut the door on the natural world, and there is little understanding towards it. We live as exiles from the great mother, and for many of us this is the source of a spiritual crisis. We may not recognize this tension, but our priorities have slipped and our dreams have been shelved. Our selves may have adapted to this urban life - our souls cannot. Or we may be artists looking to renew our creativity and connection to nature, or healers wanting time and space to re-centre ourselves with our source. This Vision Quest is about daring to reconnect with the wilderness and daring the mind to become still. Over a few days and nights, the solitary exile will quieten and begin to listen to what he/she needs to hear. Greater clarity of thought and purpose can lead to a new creativity for assimilation into one's daily round. There is full support throughout, including guidance beforehand and an opportunity for feedback and integration on the last day.
